The
company LAPLACE exploits three open air marble quarries (Paloma,
Henri IV and Sainte-Anne).
It concerns a compact limestone with polypiers, seaweeds or
rudistes of inferior chalk, barremite layer. These stone may
be used for bridge pillars, ponds, outdoor paving,pedestal,
balconies, sub-foundations,cornice, bandeaux, Ces pierres
peuvent être utilisées pour piles de pont, bassins,
dallages extérieurs, socles, balcons, soubassements,
couronnements d'acrotère, corniches, bandeaux, springs,
raised projecting stones.
Half
of the production of Paloma
is used in building, decoration and, on the regional level,
for urban arrangements. The other half of the production is
used for funeral stones in France or overseas. The Henri
IV marble is more generally used in buildings (walls
and floors) and urban arrangements (pavings, edges, furniture).The
Sainte-Anne quarry is
different due to two types of material: Alpha for buildings
and decoraction, and granité, for funeral stones.
